Algeria is a large Islamic state located in North Africa. The turbulent history of the state led to the fact that three cultures (Arabic, African and French) were mixed in it at once, which in turn led to the emergence of unique Algerian names. The most common names in Algeria are traditional Arabic names (Mohammed, Ali, Fatima), which are often combined with African or French surnames.
